Among the many miracles attributed to Saint Anthony of Padua there is the one depicted on this outstanding medal. Shortly before his death, Anthony of Padua retired to Camposampiero to spend some time praying in the hermitage provided by his friend, count Tiso. One night, passing by the hermitage, Tiso noticed a powerful light shining through the door of Anthony’s cell. Fearing the worst, he quickly opened the door only to find St Anthony holding the Baby Jesus in his arms.
